A man lay sick by the Sheep’s Pool , seeing You, O Lord, he cried to You:

The angel came to the Myrrhbearing Women at the tomb and said “Myrrh is fitting for the dead, but Christ has shown Himself a stranger to corruption…”

When Joseph with Nicodemus took You, the Life of All, down from the Tree and buried You with myrrh and a shroud, with love they embraced Your most pure body, and yet shrouded with awesome fear they cried: “We magnify Your sufferings, we hymn Your burial and Your resurrection, O Lord, glory to You!”
